Hey I’m Matt Murtha, and I'm an agent here in the beautiful Hudson Valley. I am a Long island native, but moved up to Orange County for more opportunities, which the Hudson Valley has plenty to give! Being young in real estate has so many great advantages, and not just social media skills! My age allows me to meet and work with first time home buyers, brand new people to the region, or natives beginning a new chapter here and get to know them not just on a business level but a personable and relatable one. It’s my goal to make sure they know that I’m in the same boat as them, and I am proud to work in a region where so many people come to so they can own their own property and live in such a beautiful place. As a history nerd, the rich and old culture of the region, dating back before the Revolutionary War has always fascinated me, and I have a love for old and seasoned homes, no matter the weathering. The mix of urban and rural living here gives everyone an option of where they want their dream home to be, and I’m glad I can always offer every possibility. 

A career in real estate is something I’ve always wanted, and while it came with bumps, I’m happy to have started it now. I am known for getting things done, and no matter the distance jumping for the goal, because for me, people should not wait their whole life for their dreams. So if you want to get into your dream home as soon as possible, I promise to work tirelessly to make that a reality. My career in real estate is not just about sales, it is my own personal value that pushes me to help all of my community members or future community members to get a place of their own. I understand and relate to the current housing market, and the struggle for homeowners new and old, but I am committed to working across all boards to achieve success for every individual looking and hoping for it.

And as technology expands, and seems to involve itself with every aspect of our lives, it is important to have a person who can use it to your advantage, not your loss, (but I will never be glued to my phone when I’m with you!)  I promise that no matter the circumstances, your journey in buying, selling, or investing is going to be a success, and there is no better place to do that than the unique market of the  Hudson Valley.
